Suggestion:
not a good idea due to regional coding. if you research it, you will find it is possible to change the region. it does require hacking it though. i wouldn't advise it though it is possible. the truth of the matter is, if you hack it, you can play "backups" from any region. it would involve piracy which is illegal. i would think it's just best to buy a wii where you are going to reside rather than visit.especially if what i was mentioning sounded like it's not your thing. as far as hooking up, it should other than the difference in the power cord.brick if any or the rca cables not working right on the ntsc stuff here. if you can get an english, nts, console you may be ok. i do not know for sure if that would be available or even exist over there. i doubt it. i would just do ebay, or craigslist if i was you.
