Can You Bring Game Consoles?

I'm leaving tommorow to California. I was planning on bringing my DS, Wii, and nintendo 64 to bring over to California. Will they allow you to bring them?

& I am flying on American Airlines.

Suggestion:

You should have no problems bringing all 3 game consoles with you. I agree with Nako that you should put it into your carry-on luggage due to possibility of theft and that baggage handlers and baggage sorting machines are not always friendly to luggage. Therefore your game consoles may be damaged if a heavy bags gets thrown on top of your luggage.

Hopefully you will not stay indoors the entire time you are in California and get a chance to walk around. Depending on where you go, there are things to do in that that state.

Yes, you're allowed to bring game consoles — neither the TSA nor the airline restrict them from being brought onboard the plane either in carry-on or checked luggage. I'd personally suggest bringing them in a carry-on bag, though — the risk of theft from checked luggage is high, and if these items are stolen from a checked bag, the airline will not reimburse or compensate you for the loss.

nope, terrorists hide bombs in nintendo consoles!

You can bring your game consoles – If you put them in your carry-on luggage, you will need to remove the consoles from your bag and place each one separately in a grey bin and send them through the X-ray. Do not put wires and controllers in the bin, just the consoles. The DS does not need to go through this process, just the large electronics, (just like laptops).
