No Video for the Xbox 360?

You are happily playing the latest X360 release, when suddenly the video disappears. You can here the game sounds but see nothing. This is a common experience for many X360 users.

The early warning signs may have been there for you to notice – colors appearing on the screen might have shades of red or green in it. Or seen the screen flick on some instance.

The instance of no video output is similar to the red ring message but vitally all the lights that are lit are green.

They can mean your Xbox 360 is having a problem with the GPU. This problem can easily lead to the three red lights that convey doom.

However, a simple test to try is, by changing to a different AV Cable. If you have an extra monitor, check the video on different monitors.

If these suggestions are not working you will have to get ready for some major repair on Xbox 360. The repair may be called a major one, but it so easy to understand that by sticking with our simple set of instructions you can get the console working properly. Of course there are no short remedies and what some people give on blogs are highly dubious and dangerous both to the console and to the user. So take care on the advice you get and filter out the good ones.

A major reason credited with causing this problem is that the heat sink compound used in the Graphics Processor Unit or the CPU. This melting of this can lead to over heating. When the X clamps are sufficiently overheated they will become lose causing the GOU to move about. The end result is that there is no video out there.
