1. Allow it to Cool
This is due to the fact that your entertainment system generates so much heat. Sometimes, merely thinking about the design of the console itself gives me a headache. It’s almost like Sony intentionally built the console to get hot so you can buy a new one or fork over another $150 to get it fixed. So, check its temperature; if it’s quite hot, then allow it cool down properly.
2. Uncouple to Look for Dust
The next step to do would be to uncouple the console so that you can look for dust. Dust often contributes to the console’s heat and processor malfunction. So, look through the console and see it there a lot of dust. If there is, clean gently using a cotton material.
3. Look for Melted Cables and Contacts
The heat tends to melt contact points, cables and wires. Knowing what cables to look for specifically is the key to the success of this PS3 red light flashing fix. Look for any signs of these. If you do see any, then it means you would have to re-solder the broken contacts back.
