Will an American Wii Connect to Monster Hunter Tri's American Servers if It is Connecting from Europe?

I live in europe, but I want to play online with some american friends. If I bought an american wii and copy of MHTri, would it be able to connect to the american servers, or would it still connect to the european servers if I'm connecting to the internet from Europe? Thanks in advance!

Suggestion:

unfortuanatly it would hook up to european servers because whether or not the wii is american the actual wi-fi servers your connecting to are european. and your wii wi-fi would automatically transfer to european. Sorry
