Can I Play out of Region Games on My Modded Wii?

I have a PAL Wii console with Neogamma R7 working perfectly. However I was curious whether I could download an NTSC game and burn it to disc – would it work on Neogamma or do I need a patch or something?

Suggestion:

I've never used the disc based backup loaders since burned discs run at half speed compared to factory pressed discs on the Wii. on that note though, I use USB loaders (WiiFlow and Configurable USB Loader) and setting PAL games to "Force NTSC" usually works it should work the other way around, and if the disc based loader has settings for each game, it should have settings to force video mode

-EDIT- I still haven't actually tried it, but I did a little searching and found a guide that at least *seems* like it would work
