Suggestion:
the nintendo wii's audience has a mass audience, however i'm going to slim it down (no pun intended) to 13-30, the fact that the main advertised games for the nintendo wii are either the 'Wii fit' or the 'brain training' means that they are trying to make educational and physically beneficial games more interesting to the target audience, i personally have a wii fit and feel that they have a good amount of games for entertainment aswell as a healthy lifestyle, the fact that almost all of the games involve some sort of movement is a start.
let's contrast it with another console, take the Xbox 360, it's audience are for more the 'hardcore' gamers that sit in their room in their underwear with a head set on talking to complete strangers where as the nintendo wii is a much more social experiance, almost all of the games are advertised with familys or friends playing them and it's very hard to find a game that's only 1 player.
the nintendo wii also has a warning screen at the start of each game saying that you should only play the console for a certain amount of time before having a break, getting some water and or going outside for some fresh air.
i conclude that the nintendo wii has aimed to be beneficial in each physical, social and health. so yes i think it has a positive effect on the audience

Yea I guess it has a positive affect on it's audiences:here are some reasons-
-well the old have had their fun but it's time again! Now old peopel can play and don't to learn about hardcore gaming which too confusing, even though they can't do excercise they can on a wii.
-well there were some little kids bot having their excercise also not healthy and the wii has mad them stand up and move!
-The wii also has more simpler games for people inexperienced the reason it's not tat much popular as it used to be tat some hardcore gamers started complaining about the graphics.
-You can go on the internet without turning on your PC,play games as in virtual console for retro-fans.
so u see wii has mostly a positive affect on it's audience
Hope this helps and good luck!!
Yeah as it brings people together and give people a positive gaming experience. Even single player games can make the audience happy.
