Suggestion:
Most likely, somewhere behind the TV from your Remote's IR Camera's perspective, more lights were turned on (in my friend's case, it was the lights on a ceiling fan in the next room, with the doorway right next to the TV). Any other lights the camera in the end of the Wiimote can see will disrupt the cursor like this.

I was having that trouble with Lego Batman Wii but push home button then wii remote settings then rumble on if it don't work push rumble off .That's all !!!!
^That or just re-sync it.
