Suggestion:
Some good all round ones are:
1. Super Mario Galaxy 1 or 2
2. Super Smash Bros Brawl
3. Mario Kart Wii
4. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
5. Mario Strikers Charged Football
But if your looking for more adult type games then:
1. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
2. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
3. Resident Evil 4
4. Deadspace: Extraction
5. Madworld
These would work well as all of them (except RE4) are wii exclusives so you couldn't already get them on pc.

The only reason I suggest a PS3 over a Wii is because the movement gaming is better with Sony's latest technology. It is (from what I understand) more accurate, more precise, etcetera. So if you do not have either a PS3 or a Wii, I would get the PS3 simply because the Move controller is nice (I just bought one) and the games should be pumping out soon as well. I think many people view the Wii as outdated now that Move is out. I just bought a second move controller on Amazon, because you can also play games that utilize two motion controllers at the same time (ie. one for your shield, and the other your sword). You can check out the specs if you like, but this is just an FYI in case you didn't know about it.
id say top games are
1) Mario ( probably the newest one out be galaxy)
2) little planet big planet (heard it was a good game didnt play it at all think it's like mario though )
3) zelda
4)super smash bro's
5) mario party
those were good back in the days mario party n smash bros is sorta a party game though can be played solo

Epic Mickey isn't out yet but it will be a great game looks like. This really depends on your play style…if you're a casual gamer or party gamer there's gonna be a drastically different list. If you're a hardcore gamer it will differ then even from a "normal" gamer.
But I think this list generally fits all and it's my 5 "must-haves"
