My Wii Won't Play Wii Games. Any Suggestions?

Just recently and all of a sudden, my Wii no longer plays any Wii games. My virtual console games all work and it even plays gamecube games. I know this has happened to a bunch of people, but I just wanted to hear some peoples' suggestions on what I should do. Should I spend $75 and have Nintendo fix it – with a chance that it might break again? Or should I sell it broken on eBay and just buy a new one?

Well, you'll lose everything specific to that machine if you just buy a new one…most notably stuff you've DLed as well as your friend code. You'd have to give everyone your new code and then re-register all of theirs. You'd have to repurchase the stuff you DLed as it's all specific to that machine. Almost like getting a new cell phone.
