Does the Wii come with AV cables or do I need to buy something in addition to the system?
Is there such a product that converts AV cables to HDMI?
Also, how does Wii work when downloading classic NES games? Does it cost anything?
Thanks in advance!
Suggestion:
There is a generic brand hook up and its nyko. I've seen it on a magazine once. Try looking up nyko's HD AV cable.

Wii's don't have HD capabilities, it can only use the regular Red White Yellow AV cables.
As for downloading NES games, most virtual console games on the Wii Store costs Wii Points. NES games are typically 500 points each (equivalent to $5), you can get Wii points with your credit card, or go to a game store and get a Wii Points card.
Actually, Wiis can display 480p on an EDTV or HDTV. You Must just but special Wii Component Cables. You must see if your HDTV has component av inputs first. Do some research on wii component cables first. If you wanto convert the Wii to HDMI, I would recommend you covert it from the conponent cables to hdmi. If you do get the wii component cables, make sure to change the wiis settings to widescreen(16:9) and to 480p.
Andd, yes you need to buy Wii points cards to buy virtual console games and wiiware games. I think you can also use your credit card on the wii too, just to buy things and get point. Also, you need wi-fi for that. Do you have a wireless router? I would recommend a cisco-linksys wrt54g2.
