How Do I Fix My Nintendo Wii (details of What Happened Inside)?

Me and my friend were playing the Nintendo Wii one night. It was not storming or anything, but a Power outage occurred for some reason. Long story short, the Wii shut off and now the power light won't even come on, which it usually does even if it is turned off.

I have waited 3 days and tried it over and over again, but it is clear now. Something is wrong. Can anyone help me fix my Nintendo wii or know what is wrong? Please help because i would really like to get back to my games.

Please Help and thank you for your suggestions.

Suggestion:

There could be several issues with it.
For starters, if you have it plugged into a power strip then you should plug it directly into the wall. If that works, then you know that it doesn't like the power strip since the outage.
If you have it plugged directly into the wall, move it to another outlet. If that works, you know that there is something wrong with the outlet it was in after your power outage.
If that doesn't work, the next thing you should try is a new power supply. If you change the power supplies and it turns on, your old supply is bad.

If none of the above works, then your Wii has become victim to a power surge. If you wanted to fix it, you would end up having to replace the board inside. Wired Extreme (a console repair company, great alternative to sending it back to Nintendo) could give you an estimate. Though it may just be better all around to replace it.

My first guess is the power supply has failed. I recommend borrowing someone else's or take your Wii to their place. If you have the means you can measure the output of the supply. If it's just the power supply they can be replaced easily and fairly affordably. There are some very cheap direct from China knock-off supplies. They do work but they create a lot of radio interference. If you listen to AM radio at all the cheap supply will make that experience miserable. If it's not the supply and the main console is dead it probably isn't worth repairing. The cost for parts and labor is approaching the cost of a new Wii.

is ur warranty still effect? if so call them and schedule a rapir they send free postage
