I put on the glasses and noticed that although it looked slightly different, the Wii menu was being displayed in 3D. I decided to test out a game (CoD:Black Ops) and noticed that in fact the TV was displaying Depth and all the crazy things you see with the 3D movies.
I know for a fact that the Wii does not support 3D, so I decided to test out a blue ray (non 3D) of Captain America and pressed the option of 3D and the same thing happened, it displayed depth and the letters from the DVD menu separated themselves from the background.
Why exactly is this happening? Its making me wonder if the 3D DVDs that we've been watching can display an even better 3D effect being that they ARE a 3D DVD
All 3D TV's have a simulated 3D feature which allows you to convert anything 2D to 3D. The effect is minimal since it is "faking" the effect. A true 3D source (Blu-ray 3D or a true 3D game) will look much better. Also i am sure you mean a 3D Blu-ray player because there is no such thing as 3D DVD player.
