first off, if you have a computer, you can get a Nintendo Wi-Fi usb thing for your computer i don't know how much it costs, but there are probably some at like gamestop or target or walmart if any of those stores are in the UK, once you have a wi-fi usb, go to wii settings and find the internet tab, click a connection settings, and click on wireless, then click on the icon that looks like the blue part of the wi-fi usb then from there, i dont know, i got at&t wireless but you'll have to read the instructions for further instrucions

You can either connect via cabled Ethernet or via Wireless. You with need a USB Ethernet Adaptor or a USB Wifi Adaptor. Both can be obtained from your local Wii stockist for around £20-£30. Alternatively you can look on ebay where there are many unbranded versions (which work just as well – I have an unbranded one on my Wii at home) for at little as £8 for the Ethernet model.
