Why Can't My Nintendo Wii Read My Game Disk(please Answer)?

I purchased a Dance dance revoltion hottest party 3 for wii from ebay and it arrived today in unopened condition. I inserted it many times but the console was unable to read the disc. I even restarted the console and wiped the disc. I followed the trouble shooting procedure and the website but nothing changed. My other discs are working only this one is not. And I know I'm putting it from the right side with the right face up.
Can you help? :(

Hi I guess both of us are pretty much in the same boat.. I bought Cars (Disney Pixar) game through Amazon and it just arrived and doesn't work on my console.. Apparently the game I bought was made for NTSC consoles and my game console is a PAL one.. and the game cd also says it is made for ONLY USA and some other Latin american countries, my wii console is European edition.. so I guess you must be facing a similar problem..

P.S. PAL and NTSC are two popular modes of video.. lookup wikipedia about them for further info.

as already stated it is probably the wrong region for your wii
You could soft mod your wii then it will play out of region games

Your game is probably broken and you can't find a spot that is broken. or your wii just can't recognize the disk
