Why I Can't Connect My Laptop to My Dsl Modem? but I Can Do It with My Nintendo Wii?

I have an Atheros AR5006EG wireless network adapter in my laptop and I have an Netgear DGN2200 DSL Modem, few days ago I format and reinstall everything in my laptop, but now my wireless adapter can't connect to internet, The adapter detect the connection but when I try to realize the connection the computer says that I can access to the modem . I Think the problem isn't the modem because I can connect my nintendo WII to internet.

Suggestion:

shared connection ! weather it is a work group or together as one. check your wii if it is blocking or not allowing permission. if the wii was connected first. it made a NAME, like a password it uses with the dsl. if the wii makes networking then you may have to use it to set up the connection or another computer if present before the wii. otherwise; you will have to remove any connections and start fresh entirely. use a proper setup and any license if needed.
