A Clever sitcom returns in characteristic-magnitude spoof in reference to a madman whose bombs can annihilate the planet’s clothes; co-scripter Bill Dana has a ludicrous tad as clothes maker Jonathan Levinson Siegel. The Night of the Triffids: Meteor exhibit blinds everyone who watched, when transmutes experimental plants into mammoth, strolling man-eaters. This was based on John Wyndham’s classic sci-fi novel. Changeable and is absurd as it gets. Cast includes Howard Keel, Nicole Maurey, Janette Scott, Kieron Moore, and Mervyn Johns. (95 minutes, 1963)
Jack of Diamonds: Hamilton plays a feline burglar who pillages gems from Baker, Gabor, and Palmer, who are “particular visitors” in this movie. Bypass this one and delay for To Catch a Robber to be shown. Cast includes George Hamilton, Joseph Cotten, Marie Laforet, Maurice Evans, Carroll Baker, Zsa Zsa Gabor, and Lilli Palmer. Night of the Comet: Planet comes to an end, leaving only a few California valley gals behind! Clever satire, with brainy and sporadically chilling minutes, however plays all its cards too eventually. Cast includes Catherine Mary Stewart, Kelli Maroney, Robert Beltran, Geoffrey Lewis, Mary Woronov, Sharon Farrell, and Michael Bowen. (94 minutes, 1984)
White Men Can’t Jump: Sydney and Billy are street basketball hustles. On their first meeting Billy hustles and embarrasses Sydney at his local game. They soon join forces but Sydney runs a bigger con on Billy, throwing their biggest money game, to get his money back, and more. Finally they team up again to take on the greats in a big money street ball tournament.
Unbreakable: Elijah Price has live his whole life with a horrible bone condition. His bones are so weak that they shatter with the slightest jolt. From his reading of comics, he is convinced that there is an opposite of him living in the world. The story is of his search to find this ‘unbreakable’ man.
