The first ever MMO I’ve played was one of the best even today, when it comes to PvP. But PvE was awfull. To paint a clear picture, if you were a fighter class fighting a monster of your level, depending on your items and skill level, there always was a 20% chance you could lose that fight. After every fight like that, you had to sit down to regenerate for several minutes. Same was for casters, all though most spots were no good for them to level in because nothing had to hit him else the caster would be interrupted and die easily.
Leveling isn’t so hard nowadays. I’ve seen hard PvE and also kept at it for years so trust me when I say that you don’t want to go through that. That is why when I started playing Aion, I immediately looked for an Aion guide. You can imagine how tired I was of getting lost in PvE and getting stuck on levels. That is why I find it weird when someone calls me lazy or weak to have to get an Aion guide to be able to level up. They probably haven’t played the hardcore games I have, only the newer, much easier ones.
Aion is a very nice game, and I didn’t want to corrupt that image by struggling to get the next level and stress over each death. In my opinion, not using the help of a guide means that you don’t really like the game and are just convincing yourself not to play it. For those who truly want to experience a game, this game, I suggest looking up an Aion Guide.
