One man, 25 years of age, hit the largest jackpot ever won at any casino in Las Vegas; a whopping 39.7 million dollars. But there are many more lucky Las Vegas winners out there, just not quite that lucky.
Mr. Elmer Sherwin at age 92, he hit the Megabucks jackpot – for the second time. His second jackpot of $21 million truly crushed his first jackpot of $4.6 million. He found a great place for the money to go. That year, Hurricane Katrina had devastated thousands of families and Mr. Sherwin decided to pledge some of his winnings to help the victims. Maybe his giving heart has something to do with the reason that lady luck has favored him, but maybe he was just in the right place at the right time and knows how to win at slots.
Big progressive slots do offer massive jackpots, but many believe that it is easier to win on an offline slot machine, in other words on casino slots. This could be true, but I haven’t studied the statistics of it all to point you positively in one way or the other~This could be true, but I haven’t seen any stats to support it. What is true is that the giant jackpot cannot be won unless you play the machine and wager the maximum bet. For some progressives, the max bet is $3, for others it is $5, but I have seen the max bet for some high stakes progressive slots at $75. The jackpots for these machines, if won, could certainly take care of your retirement.
So the truth is that some of these money slots can pay out exorbitant jackpots; allowing you to truly “strike it rich”, if you can manage to win one. Some of us will be lucky and others will be left wishing for lady luck to grant them a jackpot, but almost everyone has fun while they play. Large jackpots are the main attraction of progressive games
