Mickey Blue Eyes: Alarmingly unfunny characteristic based on the renowned nearsighted animation personality refreshed in the energized credits, with Greg Burson filling in for Jim Backus as the voice of Magoo. Nielsen does his best unconditionally, although the pointlessly difficult structure-in reference to the theft of a dear cherry-just goes on and on. And there are a tremendous amount of mean spirited characters for a babies’ film. The Frozen Dead: Weird account of scientist Andrews who iced up group of top Nazis, now trying to refresh them and the Third Reich; careless production values harm story. This was originally filmed theatrically in black and white. Cast includes Dana Andrews, Anna Palk, Philip Gilbert, Kathleen Breck, Karel Stepanek, and Edward Fox. (95 minutes, 1996)
Mission Impossible: There is a Russian spy selling sensitive international intelligence information on the open market. Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is assigned the mission to intercept the transaction, and attain this intelligence. As always, the Mission Impossible team works for themselves. This is without the government acknowledging that they even exist.
Forrest Gump: Sitting on a park bench waiting for the bus, Forrest Gump recounts the events of his life to total strangers. We learn of all the incredible adventures this simple man has experienced that have eventually returned him to this bus stop back, and soon to his lifelong love, Jenny. Tom Hanks stars as Forrest Gump.
Everest: Astonishing images of climbing Mount Everest. An IMAX crew ascends the peak in May of 1996. The IMAX team succeeded, but eight climbers from other teams died. The IMAX team assisted in rescues before finishing their ascent.
Report to the Commissioner: Newbie cop Moriarty inadvertently slaughters covert cop Blakely and gets to be embroiled in branch-wide cover-up. Vicious melodrama ranges from practical to overblown; tight however not unconditionally persuading. Cast includes Michael Moriarty, Yaphet Kotto, Susan Blakely, Hector Elizondo, Tony Baron, Michael McGuire, Dana Elcar, Robert Balaban, William Devane, Stephen Elliott, Richard Gere, Vie Tayback, and Sonny Grosso. (78 minutes, 1948)
Cheyenne Autumn: Spreading, choppy, although amusing John Ford Western, his last in regards to Cheyenne Indian tribe and its eventful voyage back to primordial settlement after being resettled by the government. This is Controller Ford’s first film in Remembrance Valley. Avoid City pattern with Stewart as Wyatt Earp was cut after exclusive involvements. Cast includes John Ford, Richard Widmark, Carroll Baker, Karl Malden, Dolores Del Rio, Sal Mineo, Edward G. Robinson, James Stewart, Ricardo Montalban, Gilbert Roland, Arthur Kennedy, Patrick Wayne, Elizabeth Allen, Champ Jory, John Carradine, Mike Mazurki, and George O’Brien. (145 minutes, 1964)
Prom Night: Three years after a homicidally compulsive professor Schaech killed her clan, a pleasant high-school kid, Sleet is stalked by an unwanted admirer on the day of her senior pro minutes. A nominal redo of the post-Halloween horror film, this more superior adolescent-skewing thriller depends on limited visual bloodshed to maintain anticipation. Cast includes Nelson McCormick. Brittany Sleet. Scott Porter, Jessica Stroup, Dana Davis, Collins Pennie, Kelly Blatz, James Ransone, Brianne Davis, ldris Elba, Mary Mara, Ming Ming-Na Wen, Jessalyn Gilsig, Linden Ashby, and Jonathon Schaech. Chicken Run: The chickens want to fly the coup in this animated, family comedy. Mrs. Tweedy, the greedy farm owner has other plans, and not only thwarts their escape, but threatens to make chicken pie out of them if egg production doesn’t stay up to standards. All hope seems lost until Rocky shows up and helps the chickens make a more elaborate and daring escape attempt.
