It’s hard to make ends meet when you’re new in a game, particularly on World of Warcraft. There are all sorts of items you need to get ahead in the game. I remember being so desperate for gold that I started looking around on the internet for ways to make gold, tips and tricks, any guide at all that would help me with my gold problem.
What I found was even better, one of the first Secret Warcraft podcasts. Included was Jonathan Kenins weekly review of the good gold makes in the game.
From Secret Warcraft I learned some new terms Limited Supply items and cross-faction trading. I learned that I dont have to spend hours and hours of my time, doing boring things just to make money and get some of the good items that I want on World of Warcraft like the Travelers Tundra Mammoth for example.
Limited Supply items and cross-faction trading makes gold-making so much easier on World of Warcraft!
First, get a list of the limited supply items available on World of Warcraft. SecretWarcraft.com has an excellent and complete list available, it’s organized by zone and location and it has a profit potential per item, so you can get started on your limited supply trading as soon as possible.
Then with that list, you will have to monitor your auction house. Check which items are selling for a lot, and which ones are not so hot on your server, that way you wont end up wasting money on an item that you wont be able to sell for a good profit.
When you have determined which items will get you the most gold, it’s time to go shopping!
With a bunch of empty bags, you should be able to fit a bunch of limited supply items. The best ones to go for are Alliance exclusive items such as Pattern: Black Whelp Cloak, Pattern: Raptor Hide Belt, or Pattern: Black Whelp Tunic.
Or the Horde exclusive items like Recipe: Crispy Bat Wing, Pattern: Raptor Hide Harness, Formula: Enchant Chest – Lesser Mana.
Cross-faction trading is the way to make a good gold profit from these limited supply items. Cross-faction trading basically means that you’re selling Horde only items on the alliance side, and vice versa.
