Leveling a Shaman – Here’s What You Need to Know

Looking into leveling a Shaman? It’s fun to play as a Shaman, some say that they’re not so much fun since they are always getting “nerfed” and they suck in PVP, but I don’t find this to be the case.

If you’re serious about making a Shaman, you’ll want to know what to expect starting out, that’s why I have created some pointers here that will help guide you through levels 1-10:

Once you start leveling a Shaman, you’re going to be making use of a spell called Lightning Bolt as well as a healing spell known as Healing Wave. What you’re going to do is start attacking the enemy with your ranged attack and finish him off with a few swings of your weapon if he gets too close.

At level 4, you’re going to gain access to the spells Rockbiter Weapon and Earth Shock. Rockbiter Weapon will boost your weapon damage so make sure it’s on your weapon all the time. Also, be sure to throw in some Earth Shocks along with your Lighting Bolts when you’re fighting.

Upon reaching level 6, you will be able to cast Earthbind Totem as well as Stoneskin Totem. Earthbind Totem will ensnare enemies and prevent them from running away while Stoneskin Totem will increase your defense rating.

When you’re attacking the enemies, keep in mind that only 1 of these totems can be up at any 1 time. It would be wise for you to use Stoneskin most of the time.

If youre ever in a situation where youre fighting enemies that tend to run away a lot though, youll want to use the Earthbind Totem to prevent chasing after them.

Once you get up to level 9 or 10, you should be pretty close to your race’s city and should venture there to upgrade all of your equipment.

Now that should start you off, but if you’re still in need of info on leveling a Shaman, you’re going to have to look into a more extensive leveling guide.
