Red Mana represents the power of fire. It is an aggressive and destructive power. There are not many creatures for Red planeswalkers to use and most of them can’t fly. But Red creatures are usually aggressive meaning their strength is larger than their toughness. They can unleash powerful direct attacks to players which is unique among other Mana colors. Red Mana can be accompanied by Green and Black Mana and is opposed by Blue and White Mana.
Blue Mana represents the power of water. It is a controlling power. What a Blue Mana planeswalker would do is to manipulate spells like creatures, instants and enchantments and place them here and there to create complicated strategies. One of Blue Mana’s main strength is Counter Spells which are used to neutralize opponents’ efforts. There are many Blue Mana creatures of which a majority has the ability of flying. Blue Mana can be accompanied by White and Black Mana and is opposed by Red and Green Mana.
Green Mana represents the power of life. There are not many direct attacks to use, but it has a lot of creatures. In fact, Green Mana owns the largest number of creatures than the other 4 Mana. There are a vast variety of Green creatures, big or small, but over 90% of them do not fly. Another strength of Green Mana is that summoning creatures is a rather easy task compared to other Mana due to its low Mana costs and requirement. It is not a good idea for other Mana colors to confront the Green Mana solely with creatures. Green Mana is accompanied by Red and White Mana while it is opposed by Blue and Black.
White Mana represents the power of light, life, healing and protection. There are both big and small creatures to use with a higher proportion of small protective creatures which has toughness over strength. Many of the creatures can fly but still the majority does not. Friendly Mana Colors are Blue and Green while hostile ones are Red and Black.
Black Mana represents the power of darkness and death. It is an ambitious power. It has a lot of direct attacks. The distribution of different types of creatures is fairly even. There are both big and small creatures while most of them are aggressive meaning have larger strength than toughness. About half of the creatures can fly. A special property of Black Mana planeswalkers is that they are so ambitious that they are willing to do anything to hurt opponents. This is characterized by its unique sacrificial spells which requires the player to give up something like creatures, permanents or even player’s own life point. We always say that Black Mana players hurt the opponents as much as they hurt themselves. Black Mana is accompanied by Red and Blue Mana while it is opposed by Green and White Mana.
