Mario Kart Wii: Become the Best

If you have attempted multiplayer Mario Kart Wii over WiFi, then you will agree with us as we say that it is one of the finest online gaming experiences you’ll ever share in this world.  The thrill of competing against fellow players and racing with them across many tracks is truly breathtaking.

Just how exciting is a multiplayer game of Mario Kart Wii?

Imagine this : you are controlling Mario’s fave go kart-style buggie, and you’re trailing at second place on the final lap.  You’re increasing speed, and the person in pole position is in view.  You know you’ll be able to overtake them on the next bend, as fast turn drifts are your skill.  The bend approaches,  you’re right at your rival’s tail.  You increase the gas and reverse simultaneously.  You twist the wheel and drift right past the enemy.

Such is the excitement that can be had in a multiplayer game of Mario Kart Wii.  You will not be competing with the computer AI.  You will be playing against live folk from varying regions of the planet.  They’re living, breathing, cognitive players who will respond accordingly to the scenarios presented by each race.  This makes each game more challenging, and finally, more rewarding.

Do you aspire to become a better Mario Kart Wii player?  Here are a few tips that may help you improve your game:

– Master the ‘rocket start.’ This is a crux of every Mario Kart game. Effectively performing the rocket start will give you an early advantage in the round.  To pull off the rocket start, press the gas button as soon as the timer counts down to 2.  You need to perfect your timing though, as being inaccurate for a mere millisecond will ruin the technique.

– Collisions are best avoided.  As much as humanly possible, avoid colliding with other racers as this will reduce your speed and it’ll take time before you work up to your peak once again.  Rather than racing side-by-side with another player, try to trail them, enabling you to know where they are.  Then overtake your opponent once your boost power is ready.  By doing this, you’ll be way ahead of them and out of collision range when the boost relents.

– Either learn the way to drift or learn how to let go of the accelerator button.  The majority of gamers are plain impatient.  They want to over use the acceleration at all times and run over each and every obstacle in a track, including walls on corners.  However, you will not be ready to make most turns at increased speed.  You will have to find out how to drift or let go of the accelerator command to slow you down a little, enough to pull off the acute turns found in Mario Kart Wii.
