Mass Effect 2 Review, Was It Worth the Wait?

Mass effect 2 has finally arrived after 2 long years of waiting. Was it worth it? The answer is yes. Bioware took everything that was cool in Mass Effect one and made it better. More dialog, better graphics and a huge universe to explore.

The first thing is the game play, you can now assign your powers to buttons like RB or Y to quickly use them without opening your power wheel first. You still have to open the wheel to use your allies powers but this new system makes the game feel smoother. The game plays more like a third person shooter than the first one. The bionics is much better and is actually useful this time round especially Jacks power.

The graphics are amazing this time round, I expected it to be better but not this much, I did not even think the current gen consoles could handle it but apparently they can. The character looks almost real especially the aliens the best being Thane. The level design is also beautifully done with many different visual styles and themes.

The story, like all Bioware games, is out of this world. I spent allot of time thinking after the first game of what is going to happen next but nobody could have predicted what happens. Every team mate has a full in depth back story and you can spend hours of time listening to them.

You also get a new ship that is bigger and better than the first one, you even have a personal room for you to decorate. One of my favorite additions is the way that you fly your ship around. Now for the first time you can actually feel the size of the universe and how the Mass Relay’s work.

The game has been improved in every way possible defiantly I must have for any gamer.
