The Prestige: The setting is the early 1900′s in London. Magicians are of high status in the entertainment industry. Robert Angler and Alfred Borden, once partners on stage, are now in an intense battle to be the best magician in London. They will go to any means to outdo the other.
Necessary Roughness: The Texas State Armadillos football team has just been sanctioned by the NCAA, and has no scholarships. So they have to put the team together from the student body. With a true rag-tag team, they will try and beat the odds when they play number 1 ranked Texas.
Alien Thunder: Mountie Sutherland pursues an Indian implicated of a sergeant’s kill in this handsome although monotonous action flick. Cast includes Donald Sutherland, Kevin McCarthy, Chief Dan George, Jean Duceppe, Jack Creely, and Francine Racette. (90 minutes, 1973)
Dante’s Inferno: No Dante in this yam of circus owner who gets too gigantic for his own excellent; just one expatiate pattern showing Satan’s heaven in excellent Tracy automobile. Youthful Rita Hayworth dances in one scene. Cast includes Spencer Tracy, Claire Trevor, Henry B. Walthall, Alan Dinehart, and Scotty Beckett. (88 minutes, 1935)
Catch Me If You Can: This movie tells the true story of Frank Abagnale Jr., who was a master con man. By the time he was 21 years old, he had been a doctor, a co-pilot for a major airline, and a lawyer. Check fraud is where he excelled the most, and he had swindled companies out of millions with this skill. F.B.I. agent Carl Hanratty becomes obsessed with finding and capturing Frank.
Lost In Space is a feature film based on the TV series. John Robinson, with his wife Maureen, their kids Judy, Penny, and Will are to be the first from Earth to colonize space. Pilot Don West and Dr. Zachary Smith complete the crew headed for Alpha Prime, the only inhabitable planet in the galaxy. Dr. Smith sabotages the ship, and they are sent off course. Now they are lost in space.
Starsky And Hutch: Starsky and Hutch are detectives in the Bay City police department. These two are undercover cops back in the 70′s. Somehow these two total opposites combine to make a great detective team.
