A Paladin class is one of the hybrid classes in WoW since they can be tanks, healers or melee damage dealers. This class is really fun to play and you are promised to never get bored since you can change your game play style whenever you like. Pally tanks are famous for their AoE tanking ability, which means that they can tank multiple targets. If you choose to play a Paladin tank, you will need to make a good build using the Protection tree. Click here to watch the video: WoW Paladin Leveling Guide.
If healing is what interests you then the Holy talent tree will be a good choice. Paladin is a good single target healer, his heals are fast and he can easily be on the top of all other healers in the raid. A Paladin doesn’t have HoT spells (Healing Over Time) and his healing is mainly based on flash heals therefore his gear needs to be rich in critical strike rating and spell power. Retribution Paladins are pure melee damage dealers. However, with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion even the Retri Paladins are more than welcome in raids and instances.
It doesn’t really matter if you play PvP or PvE more, all other players will highly respect you because of your blessings. Blessing of Might is a blessing used by the melee dps classes like feral druids, dps warriors and rogues, and ranged dps like hunters also have a good use from it. They also have Blessing of Wisdom which gives mp5 (Mana Per 5 Seconds) and is preferred by the healers and Blessing of Kings (BoK) which enhances all stats by 10%. BoK is usually the most wanted blessing and all classes, especially tanks will have great use of it. For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros
When it comes to other spells and abilities, a Paladin can resurrect players who have died and dispel as well. However, these skills have not made a Paladin famous, it is his “bubble” spell that made a Paladin the “undying” class. When a Pally uses this spell he will become immune to any damage done to him and while being in a bubble he can still heal himself and his party members. A Paladin wears plate armor which is the strongest armor in game. However, Paladins need mana for their spells and attacks so their armor greatly differs from the one DKs and Warriors wear since it has spell power, mp5 and intellect.
Crit is also essential for his spells since a Paladin has the ability to gain mana back each time his spell crits. While playing in PvE you will surely have a nice time with a Pala since you can change his build any time you like and still be very useful to your friends or guild mates. In PvP, with the right kind of gear healing and melee dps Paladins also rule and are highly appreciated.
