Mass Effect 2 Review

The hit sequel to Mass Effect, this game picks up where the first one left off. One feature I like is, if you played the first game, your decisions will influence certain things in ME2. This is not to say you can’t enjoy it if you did not play Mass Effect. You can enjoy your action packed space escapades completely unaware there was ever another game (well except for the 2 in the title). The combat system is designed to be able to fight on reflexes, or you can take a time out and assign all of your party members certain actions and targets. Decisions still play a role in the development of the the story, so you will feel like you are immersed in this tale of the struggle of humanity as second rate citizens in the Universe.

Lord of the Rings Conquest Review

LOTR Conquest is a game that gets you down onto a soldiers level in the world of Middle earth. Akin to Star Wars Battlefront, you lead your fellow troops to checkpoints and objectives and capture them. Choose from a Warrior, Archer, Scout, or Wizard, and hack your way through orcs and other minions of Sauron. The classes are well balanced and through the single player campaign, you will have to think about which soldier best fits the situation. During parts of the story, you will be able to play Hero classes, more or less stronger versions of their counterparts. You will feel a lot cooler though.

Spore Review

Talk about your micromanagement (get it micro organisms? no? aww) Anyways, Spore lets you create a life form literally while they are still swimming around in the gene pool. The creatures, even as single celled organisms, give you a feeling of their emotions. With so much customization available for the game, you can truly create your own world. You can also check out other player’s worlds they have created. Lots of content in this one folks.

Bioshock 2 Review

Big Daddy is back and you get to take him for a spin this time around in this sequel to the hit Bioshock. Game play is pretty much the same, but as they say “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. It is a blast to explore this bizarre and unique underwater city and finding out the history behind its twisted inhabitants.
