Just because a film made a ton of cash at the box office it does not essentially mean that you will adore it. Good taste in films is a very private view but the films that have the maximum accomplishment at the box office are the ones that have touched the most people and these are the films that have achieved the uppermost degrees of victory in the actual world.
The top grossing movie of all time did not make the most money of every motion picture for all time. That is of course, because the top-grossing show of all time was filmed in the past in 1939. Inflation has increased severely since that age and the box office proceeds from that time were much less than box office revenue from recent times.
Yet, with an adjustment for the inflation of the past 70 years the best-selling show of all times is “Gone with the Wind” starring Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable. After the inflation fine-tuning this movie has taken in $1.45 billion.
The movie that has essentially brought in the most cold-hard cash without any tweaking for inflation is “Titanic” at $922 million. However, with the inflation adjustments for time, “Titanic” comes in at number 6 for all time, which is highly regarded but 5 other movies outperformed it.
Rounding out the uppermost five, at number 2 it is “Star Wars”, number 3 is “The Sound of Music”, number 4 is “E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial and at the number 5 spot we include “The Ten Commandments”.
The rest of the top 10 are “Titanic” of course, at number 6, the summer runaway success that scared every person, “Jaws” at number 7, “Dr. Zhivago” at number 8. The only horror picture to make the list of the top 25 comes in at number 9, “The Exorcist” and Disney comes in at the number 10 spot with another movie from the year 1939, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
Disney movies have fared splendidly as “101 Dalmatians”, “Mary Poppins” and “Fantasia” are all in the uppermost 25. The “Star Wars” movies and George Lucas have also made an impact in the top 25 with “The Empire Strikes Back”, “Return of the Jedi” and “Star Wars: Episode I- the Phantom Menace” all showing up in the leading 25.
These are all some of the best pictures from all times. If you haven’t seen them yet, you may not be able to find them at your neighborhood video store but you can now download the unabridged top quality movies straight to your computer from a reputable and fully above-board movie download site.
