The long awaited Final Fantasy XIII (FF XIII) will be here early next year. It is the first from the series to be release to PS3, and Xbox 360. To ease your wait there has been a re-release of the Final Fantasy VII movie, on Blu-ray.
In Japan, the special edition Blu-ray will include a demo for the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII game. A full hour of game play without giving away too much of the story line and plot, but enough to get people excited about the new game.
Screen shots have leaked out into the Internet and they look exceptional, making the wait even more unbreakable. The one disappointing fact to this demo is that it is only available in Japan. Fans from other parts of the world must continue to wait for a demo and game release.
To pass sometime, while waiting for the new game to arrive, you should consider watching the re-released Blu-ray edition of Final Fantasy VII. The movie comes with many extras, including a documentary on the music and art of the movie and series.
The movie continues the story of Cloud and the other characters from Final Fantasy VII. All of your favorites are back for a new chapter in the classic story. This time though, its all cut scenes and the animation is spectacular. The CGI looks stunning and the animation is great. The story follows Cloud and his friends as they are challenged by a new form of evil and must overcome huge odds to save the day. I don’t want to give much away if you haven’t seen it yet, but it adds to the overall story of the Final Fantasy universe. It is definitely one that I will want to add to my Blu-ray collection.
