The writer, Ian Fleming, passed away in 1964 but the character James Bond lived on. Subsequent James Bond novels were written by up to five other writers, such as Kingsley Amis, under the assumed name Robert Markham, John Pearson, Raymond Benson, John Gardner and Sebastian Faulks. Two screenplays were novelized by Christopher Woods and different other writers’ also contributed and authored unsanctioned versions of James Bond.
