DJ Cadence is a new character in Club Penguin who first appeared when the Dance Contest game was introduced in the Club Penguin Night Club during the Member Party in 2009. She is a pink penguin who wears a scarf and has purple hair. She introduces the Dance Contest game but can also appear in the game as a celebrity penguin during certain parties and special events. When she does appear, players have a chance to meet and talk to her and get a special autographed background for their player card.
Her first appearance in game as a celebrity penguin was during the Member Party in the beginning of 2009. She appeared mostly on the very top floor of the Night Club, also known as the Roof. This room was only accessible to paid members in the game.
