How Do I Earn Wii Points?

Ok I was just wondering how I can earn wii points. Do I get them by playing my wii games? Or do I have to buy them?Please help!

Suggestion:

you can either…

go to a store like gamestop or walmart and buy them (100 points = $1 US)
the cards usually come in 2000 points

or use a credit card to buy the points (im not too sure on how that works)

Either by credit card with your wii connected online in the wii store where they sell the games and apps.

Or at a video game store where you can buy cards and enter the code on the back of your card when you are in the wii store online with your wii and then you can use those points for whatever game/app you want
