Suggestion:
The only thing I can think of that would make a disc not work is a scratch. I have a scratch on my Paper Mario game and my Wii can't read the disc now. If there is a scratch you may have to take it to a game store that has the equipment to fix it for you. Otherwise, you might need a new disc.
If you are having the problem with more than one disc you might have an issue with the Wit itself and would have to contact Nintendo about getting it fixed.

ok if your game just shut off while u were playing, then your wii is broken.
If another game works, then the disc is causing problems.
I know that when my first wii broke, the music started skipping like a CD and then stopped working. Disc still worked but on loading, the disc didn't spin fast enough so the disc drive was damaged.
hopefully the disc is the problem cuz if its not, then you might have to get it repaired or replaced.
try cleaning the disk and unplugging the wii and then plugging it back in….it should work, it does it to me all the time and after doing this it works again
