Suggestion:
some people don't know what they are talking about. if it's the 4.3, i hear there are some issues hacking it. the newer wiis us a different drive than the older ones did. it's "N"s sad attempt to stop piracy. no dvd movies or burnt games without a chip. you're not screwed though. usb loaders work on the later models. 1st check and see you firm ware and do not update to 4.3, it's not hacked yet (yet being keyword) you can hack the 4.2 and earlier versions. then go here (it for the 4.2) http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/24630-full-hacking-guide-4-2-system-menus.html then do what they say and get an external hard drive and wbfs manager on the computer or rip your games on the wii when you get the usb loaders working. as for the downloading fo games, don't ask here it's a violation. i think you'll figure it out from here though.

You have to transfer it to an SD card or GameCube game. DVDs/ DVD+Rs can't play on the Wii, even the ones that contain Wii games.
Wiis use the DVD format. However, you cannot play burned DVDs on the Wii. If you hack your Wii firmware, you can play games from an SD card. Unfortunately, there is no way to do what you are requesting without hacking.
