Suggestion:
This is completely true to the most part. When you workout, you microtear your muscles. And when you rest, you rebuild those tears to a bigger amount. So generally, yes, you build muscle.
But, when overdone, you could seriously harm your muscles and it'll do the opposite of building. So make sure you get some rest; or atleast take some painkillers (if it's minor).

First to tell you what the soreness means:
Soreness after the workout is completely natural. You have broken down the muscle so then over time it can repair itself and become stronger. Infact, i'm still sore from my last workout.
But when you are sore there is no point in continuing to strain your already broken down muscles. This is called over trainning. If you never let the muscle repair itself then it will continue to break down and never get stronger. So give it time to rebuild and it will get stronger with every time you play.
*A great source of muscle building is Protein! Protein rebuilds the muscle much faster after a workout!*
I hope this helped.
ya. well actually soreness can also mean you not used to it or you over worked them. cause i weightlift 5x a week and constantly add weights and sets to my exercises but do not feel sore. i just feel weaker in the chest or arms or whatever i worked that day. so its either they got overworked or your just not used to it.
i dont know about building so much as repairing, cause when u work them more than they are used to ur muscles release a type of acid and they become sore when they are repairing themselves. but if u keep it up and its intense enough im sure it will tone ur arms if nothing else
Yea. It is true when I was in gym my teacher told me that the soreness is the muscle repairing itself and that it is also growing. For gym I had weight lifting.
Yes, building muscles is a sore process. So unless you're bumping and bruising yourself…
if it's your shoulder or elbow getting sore…… your joints aren't gonna be too happy.
not nec, you could have simply strained something…
