Is the Nintendo Wii Now Obsolete?

Well, the Nintendo Wii has an 8 axis controller… PS3 originally came out with the 6 axis, so although it could do some motion gamin, it was not as good. Xbox 360 was as lame as ever and had none. Buuut, now the PS3 has been upgraded and can play the same as Nintendo Wii now. Even the Xbox 360 now has a motion action system.

Now that the two big name systems with game worth paying $60 for have motion gaming comparable to the Nintendo Wii, does that mean the Nintendo Wii will now be obsolete? Its graphics for some of its games are pretty poor and the games it have to itself are more geared towards kids. I'm just curious if this could mean he end of the Nintendo Wii, or if perhaps we are about to see the creation of the Nintendo Wii 2.

What do you think? Is it now obsolete?

Suggestion:

I certainly wouldn't say the Wii is geared towards kids. Try playing a few titles like Mad World, and House of the Dead Overkill and see what I mean. The Wii is loaded with great software. Everything from the Zelda's, and Mario's, to stuff like Nights, and Elebits. No it may not look as pretty as stuff on 360. or PS3, but so what. Good graphics do not make a good game. They never have, and never will. This is the same reason ancient games like Pac-Man, and Galaga are still amazingly fun today. In the end I would not say its obsolete at all. Im a proud owner of a Wii and I still play it a lot despite also having a 360, and PS3.

PFFFT, your forgetting it was and still is Nintendo's idea, they created it and made a fortune doing so. They will just upgrade again and again. No it's not 'obsolete' it's a great console and I really enjoy it sometimes more than xbox and ps3… =)

i think the people that have a wii are going to continue using their wii as they have been doing either buying games or not buying games i won't be buying a wii or a wii 2 if they come out with one tho
i don't think the wii is obsolete yet but I don't want one I hate them
