Newest Wii Update – I Have Homebrew Channel – Please Help.?

So, I have Homebrew Channel, which means I haven't updated my Wii in a very long time. But now I got a new game. I really want to play it. An update is required. The update clearly states that if it detects any unauthorized modification to the Wii, it WILL remove it, which will cause immediate, or delayed inoperability to the Wii. (Brick it.) But eventually I'm going to have to update to play new games.

But Homebrew Channel ALSO has an update for it. So I was thinking, maybe if I update Homebrew Channel, and then the Wii, maybe nothing happens, everything's fine. Or maybe the Wii first, or then Homebrew. But that's just a theory… PLEASE HELP ME. What should I do?

Suggestion:

Alright you are unfourtunetly going to have to delete your homebrew i had to beacause of 4.3u menu and if you used bannerbom kiss it goodbye because nintendo fixed it for good but if you have super smash bros brawl or lego indiana jones you are in luck because there are 2 exploits called smash stack and indiana pwns use either of these to re-install the homebrew channel happy hacking d[//_^]b

Homebrew channel and Wii updates are not connected if you update you wii chances are you will brick your wii. My question is why are you not using your back up launcher to play this game? My wii is constantly asking me to update my system but all I do is launch the newer games through the back up launcher. Your theory is wrong and will mess your wii up take my advice and launch your game as I mentioned.

You can ether hack 4.3 with this guide ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jOTYFjcERY ) or you can get Preloader and block disc and internet updates, here's a download ( http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader )
and for homebrew 1.0.8, you can update to that without updating your wii, i think, but nothing bad will hapen if you do
best of luck and i hope this helps

You can install Starfall, Starpatch or Preloader to skip the update.
