What is a Certified Factory Wii?

my wii broke the website said it was being shipped. when i called them they said they were sending a certified factory wii what doess that mean

Suggestion:

When sending your Wii to Nintendo for repair, you will not be receiving the Wii that you sent in. Instead, Nintendo has a system set up for when a Wii is sent in for repair, they send you back a unit that was previously fixed, but with your Wii's memory on it.

As soon as Nintendo receives the Wii, they then un-package it and transfer the data on it (if possible) to a unit that was just repaired, and then they ship it back to you while they fix the original unit that you sent in. After that unit is fixed they repeat the cycle over again. Someone sends their Wii in, they transfer the data to a repaired unit and send that Wii back. You're not going to get the Wii you sent to Nintendo, but you will get the data back on a Wii that was repaired by Nintendo (so long as there was no internal memory damage like the memory becoming corrupt for example).

The "certified" part means that the unit that you're receiving is working and has been fixed properly by Nintendo.

It means they are sending you a real, official, Nintendo Wii, and not an imitation created by another entity.

a wii from the factory that has Nintendo's ok on the Wii's condition.
