Wii is Not Recognizing My Memory Card?

I just bought a 2GB SD card. I put it in the wii but it doesn't recognize it. It's a brand new card and I've never had any problems with my wii. What do you think i should do? I don't really want to buy a new memory card. What do you think the problem is? When I turn on the game, it says No memory card in slot A or B. What does that mean? There is only one slot to put it in, let alone slot A or B.

Suggestion:

Slot A and B refers to the Game Cube memory slots, not the SD Card slot.
To view the SD Card's memory, click the Wii button on the lower left corner of the Wii Menu. When the two options come up, click on "Data Management." Then on "Save Data." Then "Wii". To view the SD memory, click the tab in the upper right corner of the screen titled "SD Card."

I hope this helped.

Slot A and B refers to the Game Cube slots. In order to access the SD slot you need to do it through the SD tab on the saved data area.
